Description

Target audience

Unemployed active workers, mainly in the plastics-chemical sector.

CV Faculty

Mrs. Asunción Martínez: Doctor in Chemical Sciences. Master in Business Administration. Principal investigator in national and European research projects on plastic materials formulation development, plastics processing, additive manufacturing, injection molding, surface treatment, thermoplastics characterization, etc. Professor of the subject of plastic materials for the “Technician in plastic and rubber transformation operations”, as well as other courses organized by AIJU on plastic materials. He is currently responsible for the Innovative Materials and Processes Area of AIJU, mainly performing project management tasks and services to companies. He has experience in the development of new plastic materials and their processing for various sectors, especially the toy industry. He is a regular lecturer, speaker at national and international conferences and seminars and member of the ISO TC261 “Additive Manufacturing” standardization committee. He has published several publications, directed end-of-degree projects on polymers and processing, etc.

Mrs. Ana Ibáñez: PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Industrial Engineer. Since 2006, specialist technician at the Instituto Tecnológico del Juguete (AIJU). Extensive experience in characterization of plastic materials, processing (extrusion and injection) of plastics and biodegradable polymers. Principal investigator of national and international projects on plastics processing and development of plastic formulations. Extensive training in processing, materials and nanomaterials. He has participated in several publications and is a speaker at congresses and training courses related to these topics. He currently performs project management and business services tasks.

Objectives

– Identify and characterize thermoplastic materials, and other chemical substances (colorants, binders, degreasers and others), for use or storage.
– Interpret the formulation of a mixture of thermoplastic materials and dose the preconditioned ingredients.
– To prepare and control thermoplastic polymer mixtures with the ingredients, auxiliary products and specific equipment, according to techniques, established percentages and elemental characteristics tables.
– Controlling, conditioning, dispatching and, if necessary, storing thermoplastic materials already prepared.
– Prevent risks derived from handling raw materials and working with mixing machines.

Content

1. Raw materials: polymers and additives.
2. Preparation of mixtures.
3. Preparation of preforms and preservation of the mixtures obtained.

Price
FREE. The training is completely free of charge as it is financed by LABORA. The Training Plan is aimed primarily at employed workers -preferably in the plastics/chemical sector- (working professionals who are registered on the first day of the course in the general Social Security system or as self-employed). Unemployed persons may also participate.
